Simple
So simple
A mixture of lemonade and ice tea
Half and half
It is unknown to me how these two flavors met
Maybe it was on a class trip to Italy when they were only in high school
They could have met by accident
But then again, no encounter is an accident
There is a meaning for every initial encounter
Someone knew they would be perfect together
But how?
How did they know a masterpiece would be created?
A taste, so good
So rich, so admirable
It’s hard to imagine a life without such a combination
And the best part about it,
is that this duo will never split
Hand in hand, until the curtain closes on human existence

Great poem jake. I like that you contrasted two different things in one line. Great work this is very impressive and a beautiful piece of work.
